Dr. Josh Surowitz is a dual board-certified facial plastic surgeon in Charlotte, North Carolina, certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as head and neck surgery, he uses his advanced training to create fully customized and exceptionally natural-looking results.

Education & Training

Dr. Surowitz has deep ties to North Carolina, where he completed much of his medical training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His experience as a Tar Heel helped shape his commitment to academic excellence, surgical precision, and compassionate patient care.

He received extensive training in the full breadth of facial plastic surgery including facelift, rhinoplasty, hair transplant, and nonsurgical rejuvenation, including BOTOX® Cosmetic, dermal fillers, and laser treatments.

Advancing the Field of Facial Plastic Surgery

A perpetual student himself, Dr. Surowitz remains committed to research, education, and leadership. He has published articles on scar revision, rhinoplasty, and facial reconstruction in Facial Plastic Surgery Clinics of North America, JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery, and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He has also served as a peer reviewer for JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Surowitz is active in the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, serving as a member of multiple committees related to trends in technology, research, and community outreach to combat domestic abuse.

Outside the Office

Dr. Surowitz grew up in Florida and has called North Carolina his home for the past 20 years. He lives in Charlotte with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children. The Surowitz family enjoys spending time at the North Carolina coast and mountains in their free time.
