Mohs & Skin Cancer Surgery Before & After Case 120

This patient had a basal cell carcinoma (BCC) of the upper lip and was seen at Dilworth Facial Plastic Surgery after having the skin cancer removed by a Mohs surgeon.  She chose Dilworth Facial Plastic Surgery for facial reconstructive surgery of the resulting defect after removal in Charlotte.  Prior to surgery, the patient discussed concerns and goals with her surgeons.  

Local flaps were used to reconstruct her lip, carefully planning the reconstruction to give a natural appearance, while preserving the aesthetics of the upper lip. 

The results, visible in the above photos, show restoration of natural facial and lip contour. Scarring is minimal and progressively less noticeable with time.
